Come experience our pioneer kitchen like never before. Gear up for historic baking by making your very own chef’s hat and cookie cutter. Experience a full tour of the Ireland family home and then participate in baking historic sugar cookies at the authentic 1850s open hearth. Be sure to join us for a scrumptious visit like never before!

Toys and Games

Pioneer children’s toys and games were imitations of life. Climb aboard your very own hand made hobbyhorse and explore the Ireland family farm. Enjoy a “horsey” snack of oatmeal cookies made on the 1850s open hearth. Be on the lookout for authentic farm tools while taking a tour of the Ireland family home.

Discover our Victorian “assembly” of science, stories and society. All week long at Joseph Brant Museum, children can experience crafts and activities related to the history of the Victorian Era. Make a pulley, a bookmark or a personalized calling card! Stay for a chance to watch movies based on Victorian books and stories. Alice in Wonderland, The Jungle Book, Treasure Island, Oliver Twist and Peter Pan will be shown all week.
