54. James Henry Ireland ⁽²⁾ was born in 1884. He was baptized on 7 Apr 1885.⁽¹⁰⁾ He was a harvest worker in 1904 in Gainsborough, Saskatchewan, Canada.⁽¹²⁾ He resided in 1904 in Gainsborough, Saskatchewan, Canada. ⁽¹²⁾ He resided S.E. 30-1-30 between 1907 and 1912 in Winlaw, Saskatchewan, Canada.⁽¹²⁾ He resided Bellamy Farm between 1912 and 1916 in Carievale, Saskatchewan, Canada. ⁽¹²⁾ He resided Harrison farm between 1916 and 1921 in Workman, Saskatchewan, Canada.⁽¹²⁾ He died on 21 Aug 1921 in Workman, Saskatchewan, Canada.⁽¹⁷⁹⁾ James died at a comparatively young age, in August 1921. He was harvesting at the time and didn't come home for lunch. Aunt Bertha sent Jack and Jean over to the field where he was working with his lunch. They found him slumped on the ground behind the machinery and managed to help him home. There wasn't a hospital nearby and the doctor didn't want him to travel in his condition. They put hmi to bed on a large couch in the living room where he actually bled to death, internally, from a bleeding ulcer, in about a week. He was 37 at the time. He was buried in Workman, Saskatchewan, Canada. ⁽¹²⁾ He has Ancestral File number FGI8-3-1-1. He was also known as Jim. He COD Bleeding Ulcer.⁽¹⁸⁰⁾

He was married to Bertha Burke (daughter of Jacob (Jake) George Burke and Jenny H. Smith) on 20 Mar 1907 or 1905 in Elmore District, Saskatchewan, Canada.⁽¹⁸¹⁾ Bertha Burke⁽²⁾ was born on 7 May 1886 in Elmore District, Saskatchewan, Canada. ⁽¹²⁾ She resided between 1921 and 1925 in Elmore District, Saskatchewan, Canada.⁽¹²⁾ She was a Telephone Operator about 1922 in Carievale, Saskatchewan, Canada. ⁽¹⁸²⁾ She resided Carievale, Saskatchewan, Canada between 1925 and 1941 in Carievale, Saskatchewan, Canada. ⁽¹⁸³⁾ Aunt Bertha, was 2 years younger than James, had a family of seven children at the time of his (James) death and was expecting another child, Marion the youngest was born in 1922. Aunt Bertha got rid of the farm and got a job as a telephone operator in the town of Carievale, where she lived and raised her family. When the family had grown up and she could retire, she moved to the town of Carnduff, only about 15 miles from Carievale, bought a little cottage and took life easy. She resided Sunset Haven, Senior Citizens Home, Carnduff about 1979 in Carnduff, Saskatchewan, Canada.⁽¹⁸⁴⁾ She died on 11 Jan 1985 in Carnduff, Saskatchewan, Canada. ⁽¹⁸⁵⁾ She resided 1941- in Carnduff, Saskatchewan, Canada. ⁽¹²⁾ She was buried in Workman, Saskatchewan, Canada. ⁽¹²⁾ James Henry Ireland and Bertha Burke had the following children:
