CAMPS
Camp at the Museums of Burlington is a fun-filled, highly interactive experience for children to learn, meet new friends and leave a lasting impression for years to come. Throughout the year, we offer children different camp experiences to correspond with their free time during the school year as well as in the summer. For instance, during the school year we offer a March Break Camp as well as additional camps on PA days and in the summer we offer four camps two in July and two in August. As a special treat this year we are offering a Halloween Camp Day, all things black and orange at Ireland House and a Christmas Camp Party to finish the year and celebrate the festive season.
What is camp all about?
The Museums of Burlington have designed our camps in a way that each camp has a theme for the week and each day pertains to the overall theme. But what is great is that every day is an individual day with different activities so that if you only wish to come to camp one day, a few days or all the days, you will not be missing out on a cumulative task. The camps are a way to build on skills and develop new approaches to concepts, ideas and even different media. So every day of camp is a new day and a new experience!
Our camps are open to anyone between the ages of 5 and 12 and the cost is $25/day per child or $100/week per child. The camp day begins at 9:30 am and ends at 3:30 pm, with morning and afternoon snack and lunch throughout the day. Snacks and lunches are NOT provided. Please be aware that the Museums of Burlington are peanut free facilities so as not to provide your child with a peanut or nut related food item. Depending on the time of year we also ask that parents send your child appropriately dressed and protected for the weather via winter or summer gear as we also have outdoor time with our nutrition breaks.

*Note: The times for the Halloween Camp Party and Christmas Camp Party will be from 12-4pm on Sunday afternoons. Look to the website for possible time changes closer to the date of the party. Thank you.*
PA DAY CAMP
June 8th, 2012 -- Ireland House at Oakridge Farm
Cost: $25/child Ages: 5-12 Time: 9:30 am - 3:30 pm
It is the last PA Day of the year, so we are going to get ready, get set for.........SUMMER! We will try our hands at tye-dying a t-shirt and making a kite! We will also pretend to be like the Irelands and make butter and jam to top our scones for a snack! Sorry Mom, only kids allowed at camp!

July 23-27 – Joseph Brant Museum Summer Camp (This is a specialty camp that will be offered to children ages 5-9 only. Please note that this camp runs the entire week, not day to day.)
August 13-17 – Ireland House Museum Summer Camp
August 20-24 – Joseph Brant Museum Summer Camp (This is a specialty camp that will be for children ages 10-14 only. Please note that this camp runs the entire week, not day to day.)
October 21 – Ireland House Museum Halloween Camp Party
December 16 – Ireland House Museum Christmas Camp Party

Celebrate your special day at Ireland House Pioneer style! Bake a birthday treat on the open hearth, do a special heritage craft with your friends and get a behind the scenes tour around the Museum!

Make sure to book your special day early! You would not want to miss out on this fun experience! Parties are two hours in length and held on weekends. The museum will offer a party room with a set up of chairs and tables. You may also choose to bring decorations, food and activities as they are not included. A minimum of 10 party guests at a cost of $10 per child. If there are more than 10 in the group, the birthday child is FREE. If you wish to arrive early or stay later, the Party Room rental Fee will be an additional $25/hour plus HST. We do require a $50, at least five days before the date of the scheduled birthday party.
