At the turn of the 20th century, a time most associate with as the beginning of the Edwardian Period, the town of Burlington was little more than a quarter century old, a town that had boomed in the 19th century and by 1900, began to settle into a leisured and suburban way of life.  Known as the Garden of Canada during this era, while there were other industries growing and thriving during this period, mixed farming became the primary occupation in Burlington.

The Joseph Brant Museum is pleased to present Burlington in the Edwardian Era in our Burlington History Gallery, which takes us back in time, through images, archival material and artifacts, providing a glimpse into the daily life of the town of Burlington.
